Three steps

No sign-up, no app, no scanning barcodes in the aisle. Just your inbox.

STEP 01

Forward your basket

Send your supermarket order confirmation or basket email to [email protected].

STEP 02

We analyse it with care

We check every item against the four things UK dietary evidence is clearest on.

STEP 03

Get a kind reply

You get an email back with flagged items, and why they're flagged.

Works with your supermarket

Forward each order, or set a rule once and never think about it again.

TESTED WITH

OcadoSainsbury'sMorrisons

…and any supermarket that emails your order.

The one-tap way

Forward any supermarket order email to [email protected]. Works in every email app, nothing to set up.

📷 No order email to hand? A screenshot of your online basket, a photo of your receipt, or even a snap of your shopping all work just as well — email it to [email protected] and we'll read it the same way.

Set it and forget it

Add a rule so your supermarket's order emails forward themselves.

  1. Settings (gear) → See all settings → “Filters and Blocked Addresses” → Create a new filter.
  2. In “From”, paste your supermarket's domain, then Create filter.
  3. Tick “Forward it to”, choose [email protected], then Create filter.
FILTER ON ocado.com, sainsburys.co.uk, groceries.morrisons.com (and your supermarket's address)

Gmail verifies a forwarding address once before it'll auto-forward. Until that's seamless, forwarding each order by hand takes one tap.

THE FOUR THINGS

Foods that could do with a rethink

These four are where the evidence is clearest — and where small changes add up most.

01

Free sugars

Sugar added to food — including in honey, syrups and fruit juice — feeds tooth decay, spikes blood sugar and quietly displaces the nutrition the body actually needs.

UK children's intake is running at nearly three times the recommended level.
02

Saturated fat

Found mostly in fatty meat, butter, cheese, full-fat dairy, palm and coconut oil. Distinct from the unsaturated fats in olive oil, nuts and fish — those are never flagged.

Universally agreed it should be limited — one of the simplest swaps to make.
03

Salt

Sodium in any form. Especially high in processed and packaged foods, where it's almost invisible — you rarely taste how much is really there.

76% of UK children aged 1–4 already exceed the recommended daily limit.
04

Processed meat

Bacon, ham, sausages, hot dogs, salami, corned beef — meat preserved by smoking, curing, salting or chemical preservatives.

SACN flags this separately — the concern is the preservation process itself, not just the nutrients.

None of this is about guilt.

These four are the things that accumulate quietly and do damage slowly. Spotting them early — and swapping gently — is one of the kindest, most ordinary things you can do for someone you love.

Hi — thanks for sending your basket through. Four things stood out, with no judgement at all. 🤍

Frozen chicken nuggets
High in salt & saturated fat. Try: plain frozen chicken breast, or quick homemade goujons.
Strawberry yoghurt pouches ×6
Free sugars. Try: natural whole-milk yoghurt with chopped fruit stirred in.
Cocktail sausages
Processed meat & salt. Try: for parties, roast chicken pieces or veggie sticks & dip.
Apple juice cartons
Free sugars, even the no-added-sugar ones. Try: whole apples and water.

Everything else looked lovely. You're doing brilliantly — see you next shop. 💛
